Castlebar RFC hosted Carrick on Shannon RFC U18 Girls on Thursday night in a D2 league clash. From the start the Carrick girls were irrepressible, Castlebar had real rugby players and grit but the pace injected by Julianne Moore, Rebecca McDermott & Nikita Cullen was devastating. That combined with Cáit Keanes guile in the forwards left Castlebar with tactical gaps few could fill. A great night out and win for the girls and a lot more to come. As always Castlebar were gracious and generous opposition.
