We came, we saw, we (almost) conquered….
What a fabulous night last night in Galway for the annual Connacht Rugby Awards – Carrick on Shannon RFC was one of three nominee’s for Connacht Club of the Year with Corinthians RFC and Creggs RFC and many congrats to Creggs on picking up the win in that category. Our former underage star Diarmaid O’Connell was also one of three nominee’s for Connacht U19 player of the year but was pipped by Sean Walsh from Corinthians for that award.
An absolute honour for the club to be there last night and as was remarked to us more than once, Carrick on Shannon RFC is now eating at one of the top tables of Connacht Rugby. Huge appreciation and thanks to the members of the Connacht Rugby team and management who were very generous with their time as they mingled with all the guests long into the night.
